November 6, 2009 - "Constantinople 1453- On the Eve of the Fall" will air on Episode 9 on WLNY Channel 55 (10 in some networks) at 2AM on November 28th. This channel is on Time Warner, Verizon Fios, Dish Network everywhere. It’s the Third season of Independent Artist Music videos “You decide who wins!” Our video will start off the AM hour. July 21, 2009 - The Summer Metal Fest Saturday on June 27th at the Stathakion Center was a huge success. We would like to thank all the great bands that participated: the Rob Balducci Band, Thanos (TC) Hilakis, and Martyrd. It was also great meeting and working with Chris Ambadjes and the American Guitar Museum, Maros Kocerha & Astoria Soundworks, Themi Kyriazis & Metronome Music School and the Rob Balducci School. Everyone participating made the event truly fun and unique. Congratulations to the young guitar competition contestants. A special thanks also to our co-sponsors Stamatis Tsilimos and Nexus Productions Radio (.com) and the internet radio program of Billy Chrissochos and Peter Giakoumis’ “the Greek Heavy Metal Historians”.
On Sunday July 28th we were privileged to have played again with the Astoria Symphony for the second year in a row. Congrats to the maestro and good friend Grant Gilman for orchestrating our new epic “the Odyssey”. Special thanks go also to our good friend, composer Panayoti Karousos, whose “Alexander the Great” opera gave us the opportunity to play again with the symphony. There were so many people involved like Peter Giakoumis and the Alexander the Great Living History Society, the Greek Warriors and the Hellenic Federation. We also want to acknowledge our photographers Mark Getman and Kelan Putbrese and videographers Barry Koopersmith and Michael Giakumelos. We will be posting various clips up on Youtube.
On an even bigger note, during the opera Byzantine Crown Productions debuted Phoenix Reign’s Constantinople 1453 (On the Eve of the Fall) music video to an ecstatic crowd, prompting the company to make the worldwide debut online on July 28th. Keep tuned on www.blacktuesday1453.com.

For one night only, New York City’s vibrant hard rock and metal community’s best will perform in the heart of Astoria. Phoenix Reign, Martyrd, the Rob Balducci Band and Thanos (TC) Hilakis will take you on a progressive, alt/rock, classic thrash and power metal journey. There will be a Guitar Competition for young adults age 14 and up that will highlight soloing and electric guitar virtuosity. May 16, 2009 - Phoenix Reign will be performing over a two day weekend festival in June at the Stathakion Center in Astoria, Queens. Saturday June 27th-hard/rockmetal festival with Phoenix Reign, The Rob Balducci Band, Martyrd and Thanos Hilakis Band featuring a first ever Guitar Competition. Participating will be the American Guitar Museum of New Hyde Park, Metronome Music School, Astoria Soundworks and other schools. Sunday June 28th –classical concert/Opera “Alexander the Great” by Panayoti Karousos will feature Phoenix Reign who will perform their epics with symphony. Living history re-enactment organizations the Greek Warriors and the Alexander The Great Living History Society to participate.
March 25th, 2009 - Billy Chrissochos and Chris Pollatos (along with Peter Giakoumis, director of our Constantinople 1453 music video), will be marching in full Medieval/Byzantine Greek regalia with living history re-enactors and actors from their music video for the Greek Independence Parade, March 26th, which will be televised on NYC's Channel 9 between 1-4. They will be marching in the beginning of the parade and Phoenix Reign will be announced.
The Byzantine Regiment is a living history group that brings to life the pageantry of the Greek Medieval era of the 10th to 15th centuries. The group was created as a result of the research on our music video, “Constantinople 1453 –On The Eve Of The Fall” (see www.blacktuesday1453.com).
The sister organization, "The Greek Warriors of Greater NY, the Re Enactment Group that promotes the study of Ancient Greek Military History will be marching before us also (also in the video).
